1971 Mercedes-Benz 350SL R107

Comments
Recently restored example of the next uber-collectible Mercedes SL now that the preceding pagoda-roof cars have reached stratospheric prices. Australian-delivered cars in attractive colour schemes will be the first choice, either first of the series or the last. Our Moss Green with Cream example from the first year of production ticks all the boxes.
The R107 Mercedes SL Roadster was longer and wider than the Pagoda SL to provide an increased passenger compartment, as well as room for long overdue factory fitted air conditioning, larger wheels and tyres and front and rear crumple zones. The A pillars were redesigned to be 50% stronger than its predecessor. All of this made the SL one of the safest cars around when it was introduced in April 1971.
