1948 Triumph 2000

Comments
The Triumph 2000 Roadster replaced the 1800 in 1948, when the engine capacity increased from 1776cc to 2088cc. The body was built from aluminium over an ash frame, and it had a tubular steel chassis. The engine was a version of Standard's 1.5-litre, converted to overhead valves, previously built by Standard exclusively for SS-Jaguar before World War II. The Triumph version featured a downdraught Solex carburettor.
