The world has gone crazy for 1990s icons like the Lamborghini Diablo and the Porsche 964 and their prices have risen substantially as a result. One 1990s car that remains criminally undervalued is the Bentley Turbo R as found during these years in the garage of every tycoon worthy of their Presidential Rolex. Time has been unkind to many of these 90s tycoons and most of their cars have fared little better, mostly due to big mileages and poor maintenance.
We are pleased to offer a rare survivor, a 1993 Turbo RL long wheelbase, richly finished in Bordeaux with Magnolia hide with contrasting piping. This superb example is a Jack Barclay Special Edition, fitted with a number of bespoke options for the sort of customer who would not be satisfied with a standard Bentley. There are picnic tables and cocktail requisites. There is a factory sunroof and a custom rear electric blind. There is a bottle cooler in the rear armrest. There is even a compass in the headlining so an owner might know in which direction he or she was going. All of this remains in lovely condition and reflects the extremely low mileage recorded.
The identity of the car’s original owner is not known to us but we do know the car was exported from England to New Zealand early in its life before coming to Australia more recently. Since being acquired by ourselves, our workshop has been through this car thoroughly to ensure everything is working as it did when it was new and there is absolutely a sense of occasion each time you take it for a drive.
Offered with a RWC to buyers in Victoria. Note that the odometer reads in miles.
