To any long-standing member of the Rolls-Royce Owners Club this car needs no introduction. For many years, it was owned and campaigned by the late Terry Bruce and won the Club’s Vidler Shield on numerous occasions. After his passing, its new, well-known owner decided to treat it to a full restoration and what a restoration it is. With a formidable record competing for concours wins, this dedication was now applied to this car. Over a decade no expense was spared and we have the receipts to attest to that! As happens, time has gotten in the way and its restorer is now too old to drive.
So it’s not going to recover the amount invested but, that is bonus for the next owner who, with the minimum of effort, can now motor onto the concours field and be a winner.
There has been a steady following for the Rolls-Royce Twenty for many years. Exquisitely engineered and with superb, traditional Park Ward coachwork this example is undeniably charming. There’s a nice early history with this car too, being sold new by the then Melbourne agent to the motoring pioneer, Colonel Tarrant.
