Not to be confused with the E24 BMW 635Csi sold in the Australian market from 1986, on offer here is a M635Csi, which is a genuine M car with the M88/3 24 valve engine straight from the legendary BMW M1. The Euro Spec version of this engine produced 282 bhp, a 70 bhp increase over the 635Csi. To manage the increased power, the M635Csi had larger ventilated disc's with four piston calipers, it sat 10-11mm lower with Bilstein gas filled dampers and heavier anti-roll bars. The transmission was a heavy duty Getrag 280 close ratio 5 speed manual gearbox, with a 1:1 ratio 5th gear, and there was a ZF limited slip differential (LSD).
The car was marketed as an M6 in Japan and the USA but as a M635Csi in Europe. Our car was imported from the UK as a personal import in 2019 and is an unmolested RHD version of this iconic BMW.
It is finished in Alpine White with Schwartz leather. The M Tri-Colour stripe has been added as a tribute to Schnitzer, one of the legendary BMW Racing Teams competing in German Touring Car Racing.
While the car is in very good original condition, there are no books with the car. There are regular service receipts from 2020 onwards, with the most recent service by Brighton BMW at 48,644 miles in March 2024, including brake fluid, filters, oil and spark plugs. There is also a current pre-purchase report confirming the condition of the car and the absence of rust. It is currently registered in Victoria till September 2026.
